    Hi stackers - does anyone know the best way to find out where to purchase a 1991 gold sovereign (not the UK one, the Aussie one). I think they are a PM product ..... I have a friend who's looking for that specific year as a 21st birthday gift.

    Any suggestions welcome - Regards, Cap

    I don't think any sovereigns were struck in Australia from 1932 onwards until the Perth Mint started striking them again in 2009.

    A gold sovereign is 0.2354 oz agw - It seems that the issue year is also important in the purchase of the gold coin - what you could also do is 'hunt' for a 1/4 oz PM gold coin from 1991.
