Was wondering if there was any Stackers who are making their own jewelry
as a hobby or as a business?

Answer post or Contact me (PM) if you are.
    Cheers

Sorry if I have done something wrong?
Are you a Silversmith or a Goldsmith, Rick, because from my experience,
they are different disciplines, at least at an industry level.
Was just trying to find out if any Stackers, are involved.
    Q? still stands.
    Cheers

Apologies, I'm being ignorant. I don't have any experience or knowledge. However for future maybe just posting a single thread on the PM board would would sufficient

I am. I've taken 1 week long silversmith class about a month ago. I'm leaving Sunday for two weeks. I'm taking Silver clay, then casting.
next Spring I'll take Silversmith 2 and then Goldsmith, which you can't take till you've completed Silver 1 & 2
Btw, if you hadn't posted here I might not have known to respond. Any questions? I'll do my best to answer :)

Give him a chance, he was just asking a question...

Who died and said he couldn't ask a question, all be it more than once?

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed!

In Australia, as there was no Guild system, the Tinsmith/Coppersmith/Silversmith and Goldsmith classifications never really developed. Although in the last couple of years a Goldsmith Guild has been trying to form, but with little success.

I am a trained Silver/Goldsmith. I took 2 years study. I do make, and have sold Jewellery, and I had a Jewellery shop at Castle Hill, NSW.

Just mentioned it as I have a variety of semi-precious stones and carved
pieces, that I collected while trading. Maybe of interest to an artist.
Some better suited to gold, some to silver, IMO.
(over my time, in Asia, I had produced unique pieces in gold, and silver)
    PM if interested.
    Cheers
