Has anyone experienced the situation where the PM has kindly sent you an email reminder that you still have items in your shopping cart and can they give you any assistance? On checking my credit card online, I found that the items had been fully billed to me (5 x 1-oz Gilded Dragons and 1 x 1-oz Coloured Dragon) yesterday. The items in my cart were in respect of the gilded coins only. Have emailed PM, but was wondering if any other forum member had experienced the same difficulty. Regards, Cap
Yeah they sent me email advising I had 2 typeset dragons in my cart waiting to be purchased. Just delete it, it doesn't matter, their system is terrible. And no, you won't be charged for items you didn't check out.
Yes, I got a reminder that a coin was in my cart but they had already sold out which was why I couldn't complete the purchase in the first place.
Yeah, the eCommerce solution they use automatically emails customers after a couple of days who have items stuck in the cart - this was probably hundreds of people on Tuesday though. Case of marketing technology backfiring.
I guess we'll have to wait 12 years to see if they've really fixed their eCommerce site I'm assuming the other releases won't get this much attention.
Perth mint is going to release 2012 Year of Dragon 1oz silver proof Rectangular 4-coin set on Nov. 1st Australia time, I think this will be truly the last option for those who want a 1oz plain dragon silver. So those who wants it and live outside Australia , had better be prepared to spend some money for international call, and wait 1-2 hours, if not longer, on the phone in order to get a set. This is what I am going to do Because for sure their system will not be able to get fixed 1 month from now
Interesting. I see little or no demand for this product from my own observations. I will not be getting one, but am interested to see that there is demand out there. Anyone else going to try grab one?
Same here. Will not be going for the rectangular 4 coin set. Don't think the demand is as great as the conventional round coins.
If I hadn't managed to secure any 1oz dragons I would probably have gone for the proofs and if I couldn't get one of those I would have gone for the 2oz. The coloured and square ones are way down the list. My latest purchase after the 10z dragons has been a 10oz PM bar so it is safe to say that my dragon need is fixed for the moment.
