    About 6 years ago I sold a
FORD DIY repair kit ,it was a dead Zippo lighter & a box of matches
Pretty sure the new owner thought it was a bargain
    I also sold a
    ROUNDTOIT
It was a big rubber donut for people who don't have time to

It's indeed odd how some items go for more than retail then two days later less. The trick is to throw everything you're interested in into your watch list, then watch, watch, watch and every now and then a deal comes along.

    scrap gold online?

i got a gold 14k bracelet the other day for under spot around $1550USD/oz average, it was in perfect condition, with stones (excluded from calculations), and wife loves it. She doesn't want to give it back. Its stamped and is as good as a coin or bar and you can use it instead of just storing it in your safe.

try going after sterling silver, you can buy gobs of it for spot price... and good pieces. earrings, necklaces, rings, etc. most little pieces in the store for $9.99 have about .50 melt value, so if you're buying wearable jewelry for spot, you're way ahead... especially as spot goes up. usable jewelry can carry a premium on the resale to a buyer of jewelry... after all you don't go to the jewelry shop picking out rings at spot price, their premium is often 50-100% or more.

on the downside, its very hard to stack jewelry.... maybe a silver-piler instead of silver-stacker

For kooks, I bought from gainesville coin on Oct. 4, for $35.27 each (credit card price). But now the price is $39.xx, due to the rise of spot price. And used a $5 coupon got from the internet. so shipping was only $4 after coupon

As for Ebay, yes, sometimes one can get excellent deal, it depends. If you are the only one want the coin.
