As it says in the thread name, whats the funniest or hardest you have gone to acquire any type of bullion.

Mine would have to be today getting the coloured 1oz and 1/2oz Dragons. I tried to get into there website and than it frooze so i had to reopen it and than i tried to login and that didn't work and than it said my account was off limits for 24 hours lol. Than had to call them up and wait for half an hour and finally I got them :)

I want to get involved in the platinumpus group buy. But can't find anything to sell, sold most stuff to buy more pandas.
    What's a sole worth?
Where there is a will there is a way. Well so they say.
Now if silver went up again I could sell some of that.
Have to ask thy one want to buy 30xblue throat macaws for $50per coin $1500 usual postal deal. Cheapest birds around. CD

I really dislike the Perth mint site. I put in my details wrong as well and it locked me out for 24hrs. You would think that in this day and age you could do a password reset and have the site generate a new password to your email. The quickest way around it was to create a new account, and to buy with the new account details.

Hahaha quicker to make a new account. Thats actually a good idea, i might make another account as a backup account when there website screws me over again and that way i can get 2 coins when they only allow 1 per costumer :)

Four hours walking through Hong Kong looking for a building full of coin shops. Turned out half of them were full of bank notes and the rest were full of junk and fakes. Guy I was with managed to find a single Perth Mint 2000 1oz silver dragon for $50.

But look think of the view before and after your purchase!
Having never been I view the Far East as a magical place.
It's on my Bucket List, but Father Time seems to have sadly gained the upper hand.

I'm building a house in the middle of nowhere a lot of specialty items are 5 hrs round trip by car (vathroom faucets, sinks pretty much any nice finishing materials). My nearest coin shop is not far from the home depot there so I would time purchases of materials and pms with drops in spot. By the timne you drive, shop, eat, its a minimum 12 hour day I've been doing it 1-2 times per month for 16 months. Luckily the house is almost done!

When we had that huge silver dip the other day I asked my wife to head into the city to pick up a kilo of silver from a dealer as I would have arrived after it closed due to working late.

    - She went to the dealer feeling like she was going to be mugged by the tattoo covered thugs hanging around.

    - Constant phone calls asking where I am.

    - No facility to pay with cards, she had to run around to find an ATM and took out the daily max of $1000.

-Went back to pick up a few 10oz bars to find that the dealer ran out of everything below 1 kilo and 1 kilo was just over $1000 a bar.

    - VERY angry wife when I arrived :(

    - Bought PAMP online over a nice dinner that night!! :)

Does going into the hot, treacherous, dusty outback a million miles from anywhere on your own, looking for Lasseters Reef qualify?
