For those who are adamant they know where silver is going, did you convince anyone to join the ride only to find they now want to kill you? I am managing my mums portfolio, but i said "only spend what you don't want to see for a long time". Looking forward to the stories to spring forth..
I've also been managing my Mum's silver. She hates that its dropped (just like anyone investing), but it's more of a retirement fund and money that was just sitting in an account anyway - so she's not too cut up about it.
Learnt many years ago, to only give information and basic advice. Anything above that, and it has the potential to come back and bite you where the sun doesn't shine.
Not at $45... but a friend and I both went to buy 10oz bars (she bought two, I only bought one) last Friday when it dropped to just under $40. I didn't mean to convince her - I just got all excited and then she impulsively joined me.. She cruised by my desk a little while ago and said that she could have paid her phone bill with the money she's just lost (about $200)... but I don't think I could ever help her see that she hasn't lost anything - she's gained 20oz of silver.
Yep exactly, at least with pm's you can hold them. The amount my mum bought was not that much either. I only wish she didn't take ou another mortgage. Wrong time in mho . Ungh,.... Oh well!
Someone tried to give me 10k to invest in silver about 1 month ago after learning about it from me. I said, "Oh no, no way!"
Its dangerous convincing people to buy it when they dont understand the real reasons for buying PM's and how volatile they can be
