Exactly. I was at the coin store today and was talking to the lady and she said the owner is pretty pissed off that spot fell, he bought a bunch last week at higher prices. In the next 20 minutes and older guy came in with 600 1 oz silver maples to sell. So the moral of the story is, there will always be sellers and I don't know why the owner was mad, he has been in business for 40 years and should know better.
Hm what a day to buy my first silver. I bought at lunchtime - after the initial dip but before this ... insane plummet ... that began in the last hour. Damnit! If I had been busier at work or something I would have held off to buy till now. Although it kinda doesn't matter that much since most sites aren't updating the prices to correlate with spot very quickly. Bullion Bourse still has the same prices as I bought from them earlier in the day, even though spot has fallen $1.50 since then. Their prices tomorrow might be nice though. Maybe I should buy a bit more
house price drop, currency drop, sharemarket drop, precious metal drop, interesting.... what's the best investment now?
This isn't really unexpected. Gold it's been said, could correct down to 1680-1650, so silver following isn't a bit odd
Compared to gold, silver is getting a serious hatin for China's slowing manufacturing. Just shows how dependent Ag is on industrial demand as opposed to investor demand, which is actually great for the long term
It's got very little to do with the manufacturing in China - global events aligned around the world are going to have a serious effect on the bulk of asset classes (pm's included) - easily seen if doing even the most basic of charting.
I'd be concerned if I didn't see all sorts of other commodities dropping like a stone with simultaneity. So, who's buying the USD all of a sudden? :/
Selling stocks/PM's/RealEstate for US dollars is the same as buying US dollars with stocks/PM's/RealEstate.
Hopefully the G20 meeting won't bring a worldwide printathon, next week Im gonna have to organise some new storage space!
