Hi M, thanks for your words of encouragement, truly appreciated. If I were given a choice, and they were at the same price, I would choose the 2009s. It may well be the case that the 2009s have already peaked, but I think they have the opportunity to grow even further. I could be totally wrong though. 2008s are a good investment too, and these may yet catch up in popularity and profitability to their 2009 brothers. But personally, if given the choice, i would go heavier on the 2009s. These are also the beginning of the quasi tao (collection), 2009, 2010 and 2011. Just my opinion, which hopefully turns out to be fact. 2009s are worth about $90-100AUD, whereas 2008s are worth about $85-$95AUD. Many thanks, Chris.
2009 - 2011 is the 'new panda design' so collectors will start with these first I think. I've only collected 2007-2011 due to the relatively cheap prices and availability. I think the 2008 is a good buy too, but the 2009 has the best design out of the recent pandas.
I'm starting at 2005 because that's the first year of the baby panda. Though 2007 is my earliest one so far. Good info about the Tao, didn't know that. Thanks for your education and time!
