Wow this forum is really going nuts about the Lunar Dragons. So where are we currently in this Dragon Mania? I think we are currently just after the smart money phase now. If you dont have them, you are starting to pay big dollars for them. Where will we see the first dip? I reckon right after all these dealers get their shipments from the PM and start flooding the market to cash in. Then where will it go? Will the media see, the normal mums and dads? Who knows. But from what I have seen and how people are acting around here, when you guys should know better, proves to me there is definatly going to be a bubble form. Just stop and think which side of the trade you are on, and dont get carried away
I love these dragons but I think people aren 't thinking with their heads at the moment... Could be wrong.. I thought Perth Mint's Spot + Premium was steep.. sheeesh... Oh well, I do think they are awsome though.. Great graph Lord!
Didn't happen with redback spider coin. So, hard to say with dragons. Hopefully things return to normal.
hard to say as there will only be a maximum of 300k sets out there and when you have some people hoarding you get set collectors paying silly money for the ones that are still floating around
This is the current price... and less than 5% of the coins have been released I'd suggest... That says to me that there are a lot of dragons left to sap up said demand. I'd say close to greed/delusion if you think mums and dads are gonna hear about silver dragons....
And spot silver is $A 38.50...... will start to see more caution I'd think as spot sinks. $100 a coin for something with $38.50 and falling worth of metal value isn't going to last I wouldnt think.
I think the market is going to end up being saturated with every size other than the 1 oz and 1 kg. When the 1 oz becomes available in the U.S. I think the prices being paid to those currently with stock will come down. Just my opinion.
1 on ebay at the moment, buy it now for $189. Appears they have sold 1, only 3 left. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2012-Yea...30573457830?pt=AU_Bullion&hash=item1e66c8d9a6
My goodness, here is another, bidding currently at $355 with 5 days to go. Surely I must be looking at this wrong... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2012-Yea...10740233685?pt=AU_Bullion&hash=item19c8a1ddd5
70 Euros for the 1 Oz coin on an ebay auction. This is C R A Z Y http://www.ebay.com/itm/120773887953?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
Two small bidders bidding the price up .. seen it before .. it starts other people thinking that this price is the norm then they can artificially inflate the price. Why wouldn't either of these people go for the 189.00 version?
Buying Dragons is akin to buying AU RE right now. Ounces is what counts - numismatic cost means you're minus ounces => less leverage exposure to higher spot prices. savvvie??
