    Look for hallmarks!

Any idea whatsoever of it's origin?

Dunno. But it would probably stack better if it was an ingot.

the best way is put this stuff to an antique shop or silver dealer shop, especially silver dealer shop, coz they normally have some kind of "water" to text silver or not

the best way is to break off a little bit, melt it into a bullet and shoot a werewolf with it.
If the werewolf dies, it's silver. If not, RUN!!

you can buy a DIY silver testing kit yourself, rather than go off the word of an antique dealer.

If it is silver - thats an absolutely stunning piece. I'd buy it :D

Actually come to think of it - it actually looks a bit like a Games Workshop model... :p

(shudders at old memories of stacking toy soldiers...)
