http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article29760.html Am i missing something here? David Morgan Edited today....i thought he said it was going to drop to $5 but rather he says it will drop by $5 then off to $75 as pointed out by AustralianAustrian below. Thanks!
If Silver ever got to $5 any time soon I would re-mortgage the house!!!! Maybe not, that just reminded me of a workmate in the Bank back in the 'Nickel Boom'. He had just recently paid off his house when Poseidon insanity hit. He re-mortgaged the house and put the lot on it at about $280 a share. Crashed about a week later! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poseidon_bubble Wow! What a time it was. Now that was a REAL "bubble" OC
This prediction is assuming a recession i think and since its become evident the fed will look at QE3 then i dont think it will drop this far. Im going to sell at $70 soon, Bob said it will be there in the short term so im holding out.
Where is he now? How's he traveling? My dad tells me of the Poseidon boom. He had a great ride, got out before it peaked; much to the merriment of his fellow policemen investors.. He only held for about 2-3 months, I think. All before I was born. They stayed, and they're still working. Dad retired at 51. Nice.
MelbBrad, I have no idea what happened to him, but he was about 50+ at the time in the early 1970s. I did hear that it all cost him his marriage, but I don't know it that is true. He is probably dead by now. OC
My uncle talks about people driving around in brand new sports cars with "Thank-you Poseidon" written on the back window.
Yeah, I just found it a bit strange coming from Mr Morgan one of Mike Maloney mates. Its anyones guess.
lol thanks i thought it seemed a bit funny. Thats why in my original post i asked "am i missing something" Cant believe i didnt see that. Seems no one else did either. Well a $5 dollar pull back then blast off to $75 sounds great to me!!
I reckon he is saying drop down to $5 an ounce unless the whole thing has been badly written in the first place. Sounds a bit ludicrous though - at that price who wouldn't mortgage their house to buy silver!
yeah im thinking the whole thing has been badly written. Has to be....doesnt it?...surely....but bring on $75 any day!
A few paragraphs later he refers to downside movement and says: "You could see gold and silver react to the downside, perhaps dramatically$5/ounce (oz.) silver is not entirely out of the realm of possibility." I think its safe to say it is a poorly constructed sentence ... but geez...it doesnt take much to get people to stress out ... you'd think we're in a depression or something
