Can anyone tell me anything about these and what they would be worth. It's number 36 of 250. I can't seem to find anything on them. lol matrix - this is beautiful set but it could be prised out of my sticky hands for the right price (not $300 though ) malachii
Hmm personally I think it would be better in the $300 range. Say $220 for the Dragon, $80 for the Kookaburra. I don't think two otherwise normal specimen coins gain dramatically from being accompanied by the COA - it appears to be a "one-off" set rather than an annual release.
Hey malachii, I have the same, #44 of 250, I think it is one for the ages (means grandchildren) with the 2000 date. From memory mine came from Downies about 5 years ago and was expensive then at $80.00
Yeah, only confirms what a number of people on here have always said on the topic - COAs ain't worth much (i.e. anything), with the clue being that they are made of paper.
Thanks for that GP. It's interesting that it was put together by a third party and yet the only company mentioned in the documentation is Perth Mint. I'm surprised that even in 2000 they could get away with that. Anyway - it's a beautiful set that I think will appreciate more as time goes on. I might even go and find out production numbers for the 2oz Dragon - would have thought that would be pretty low. malachii
