.... and in other breaking news, the sky is blue ......

    ----------------------------

BUILDERS are worried there will not be enough private sector work available when the Federal Government stimulus programs end.

Releasing the latest Master Builders Australia (MBA) national survey, chief economist Peter Jones has also warned of anecdotal evidence of uncertainty in the industry due to the government's proposed carbon tax.

"The survey shows work on builders' books holding up reasonably well in the June quarter, but it remains to be seen for how long this can continue given the winding down of stimulus projects and a less than positive outlook for new work," Mr Jones said today.

Building stimulus measures introduced during the height of the global financial crisis included the school halls and social housing projects.

The survey indicated that there was no sign of an upswing in residential building conditions.

Because of flood damage, I think that there will be plenty of work for builders in Ipswich, Brisbane, Lockyer Valley and what about the boom city of Gladstone?

Yep and if they want to keep working they can move there if there is no work where they are. Buggered if I am willing to give them any more of my cash (or my descendants) to stay in business.

Don't you know? Property price doubles up every 7-10 years. We should buy buy buy now.

You know what else goes up every 10 years? Carded koalas.

    Someone impotent? :p

As for the builders... well they can all go to heaven (just 2b different!).

If they got cozy with government benefits like a bunch of pigeons in a park being stuffed with bread thinking it would last forever they can only blame themselves.

    Hahaha love that.

Some experts are predicting warmer weather when we move into the summer months.

You guys should see what there charging up here after the cyclone, they have gone up 50%+ cash in hand at the end of the job or you don't get'm. I've found when insurance gets involved the prices double, had a quote($1300) to fix 3m of gutter easy job, just did it myself in the end.

The outlook is quite clouded and people are understandingly fearful. There should be few
sectors that will be unaffected of big government problems in many parts of the world.
    Better not think about it...
