Hello all What is the going rate for a 1oz silver proof rabbit? I think I came across some coins still priced at release price. Would they be a good investment? Cheers
Can't give you much advice on the prices but I would say this: Buy. They're proofs for a start, so limited mintage, plus lunars are always in demand. If you can get them at release price, or if thats what you suspect, just buy regardless. You will profit.
Considering that the non-proof 1oz rabbits are already up over $10/oz, I would definitely buy if I could get some at release prices!
I'm not sure the proofs are limited in their numbers like the normal ones are (300 000) - not sure if this effects the price longer term as I assume they are loosely tied to the price of the normals but something to consider. malachii
I believe lunar series 2 have a mintage limit of 5,000 for proof 1oz. Series 1 being 2,500 mintage limit. Correct me if I'm wrong
Hello all, Well.... the old good saying that if it is too good to be true...is true. Went yesterday to the local post office and asked for 3 of the coins priced at $89.xx each. The lady went to the back and came back only with 2 as they had no more in stock. When I went to pay, she scanned the coins and then tells me that the actual price is $112.xx each. I said to her that I believed they actually had to sell at the advertised price. However she quickly repplied that the scanning code of practice only applied to supermarkets (which appears to be true based on my google search). Anyway, do you still believe it is worth paying the $112.xx per coin? Cheers
