ETNs for BTC will further distance you from your source of wealth. I can’t imagine anything worse. It makes unallocated look like Fort Knox!
If the UK is like the USA, institutional players don't want to buy BTC and mess with custody/liability issues. It's much easier for them to buy securities and avoid the hassles. It's not unlike gold ETFs versus vaulting physical. Individuals stack, institutions trade.
