Massive time waster to read through a 2 year old trading post only to realise its been bumped. Also a pain to always be looking at post date in case someone has done the unthinkable....

IMO. Preventing comments causes no harm. But deleting the posts altogether would be like deleting history. We can learn from them - prices, fads, sources of goods etc. Deleting history never a good thing.
It's possible that you have 'unread' threads showing up first. Since it has a number at the start it could also be in alphabetical order.
