    And looking at some of the SOLD listings on eBay, $1000 could be seen as being cheap (a few have sold in excess of $1,400.

    I just wish I'd been paying more attention to the mint's release schedule and gone there before they'd sold out.

    thats the way with some of these $2 coins nowadays, was very surprised the silver proof price went up so much, i guess the shill bidders on ebay dont have anything else to bid up pricing. That has a massive 5k mintage locally so should be plenty around, just that RAM hasnt made enough.

    The common $2 version in card though was released for $15 couple weeks back and has a large 80k mintage for locals. Usually the prices for these cards will settle down eventually when interest is gone and all the flippers have too much stock to sell.
