Heard the word “smidgen” a million times.
I had a fair idea it meant “a small amount of something”.
I didn’t know how to spell it.
So I looked it up … 1/32 of a teaspoon.
    Who knew :)

Captain Kookaburra (I think) came up with this concept. It is the partial oz left over in 1kg i.e. 1kg = 32.151oz. A smigeon is 0.151oz being that small piece over 32 Troy oz making a kg and in general not a workable amount.

Captain have I explained this well enough - over to you.

The irregular shape of the smigeon is also part of a set which all fit together to form a shape - which I dont remember what that shape was. Anyone?

Wow... Yes the Smidgeon is indeed 0.151oz .... As in a kilo is a "smidgeon" over 32 ounces, wheras a 100oz is a "tad" over 3 kilos. Easy really.

The jigsaw puzzle was called the "Eternity" puzzle created by Christopher Monckton, with a Million Pound prize for solving.
