Hi, up for sale from my SMSF I have unopened tubes of the above. Tax invoice supplied. 20 coins per tube. Price is $900 each tube plus shipping or f2f Canberra. 3 tubes of snakes, 4 tubes of the kooks available. I can take some photos if you want, DM me and I'll get on it. cheers, hazy
Hmm… were the 2013 snakes the ones that notoriously had dodgy capsules? I can’t remember. I did have some perth mint coins a couple years back that developed some minor toning in the capsules. But idk I can have a close look and take some photos. i dont think so I think they’re fine but I’ll check carefully.
Oh yeah I got them out and had a look and they do have some toning. So I looked up snakes in my DM history and yes, someone told me about how they are known to have dodgy capsules and lots of them have toning. Oof. Not sure what to do about that, I don’t want to open the tubes to see how bad it is. They’re bullion grade silver anyway so personally idgaf but I can see how other people would
Also a couple of years ago I sold some of these and the buyer sent them back because of the toning (I gave them a full refund including their postage). sorry for not realising sooner, it entirely slipped my mind. It’s all coming back to me now lol
Update. The snakes have some tarnishing, as above. so, I’ll reduce the price to 820 per roll for those as a good faith adjustment, not because I’m desperate to sell them really. I’m only selling these because it’s a slight hassle having silver coins in my fund assets so I’m switching to bars only. Just bear in mind that all of these coins are investment grade bullion, not being sold as collectables or as good specimens. I think it’s a mistake to buy them like that so if the premium is too high then I suggest finding a different investment or actual numismatics. I’m not opening the plastic to see how bad the toning is. The Kookaburras are fine (as in they’re okay, not the grade lol)
