I've had about 60 odd watches pass through my hands since about 2010. I like tool/field/pilot/dive watches, and have never spent more that 2.3k on a watch. I rarely dress up, don't work in an office, and am most found outdoors, so dress watches are not for me. This is my current crop, and the 1981 Seiko quartz diver 7548-7000 (on left) is probably my favourite at the minute. Although they all get rotated on a weekly basis. I hate chronograph watches, and love nothing more than an appealing simple dial layout.
Have a few watching I'm looking to clear from the collection if any interest to fellow stackers All 3 Panerais are different btw Open to trading up aswell Mat
Sure mate 1978 1680 Submariner all original with beautiful patina. Watch and Box and Tag Hoping for around $17500
Can anyone recommend a reputable place in Australia to handle selling a vintage Submariner? I wouldn't have a clue how to price a watch like that.
I guess dealer prices will always be high as they have to add GST on their commission and being a store there would be a higher trust level with buyers.
I can help mate I have a database of buyers and watchmakers that can authenticate things. If I'm correct in you have one you want to sell?
Agree Chrono is great for a general idea but it is a worldwide sit so a relex selling well in USA might not be here and vice versa. The watch scanner feature is sooooo good tho from a simple screenshot!
Thanks for the reply, I have had a 5513 that I got new in 1983, I don't wear it so much now. It runs fine and has never been opened or serviced. I haven't put it under water in 20 years, I used to dive with it but since then I treat it as a non-waterproof watch as I don't know how often the seals should be replaced. It's been sitting in a deposit box for the last 14 months.
