This is an interesting topic that relates to everything that we own.
Guy from Coin Bureau takes us down the rabbit hole for a brief moment.
Noticed that Youtube has been pushing more towards a subscription service.
Won't be long before that happens.
Any good Youtube channels, I generally link them to Rumble and Odysee.
They are a decentralised platform as an alternative to Youtube.

Forced to update as phone becomes unusable and can't access certain things. Noticeably slower and more awkward, updates every few days sometimes irritating as shit. No way out but don't update can't access markets, buy sell whatever. So we'll pay an ongoing service fee to use a product weve already paid for? Sounds fair While were paying big companies and government rent from they're controlled housing, driving expensive EV and riding environmentally friendly scooters they'll be still flying in private Jets smoking big cigars and eating steaks while we eat our approved rations of assorted bugs ;) and we'll all be smiling just like the picture :) Thankyou kind overlords Any "expression that's based on reality and not the approved narrative is being censored and banned outright already in increasing volume, for now the thoughts in our head are our own but younger generations will not even have that indoctrination sources all around. Original thoughts and critical thinking banished foreign concepts the ability to do so destroyed. They talk of hacking people no implants needed they've engineered society to do this already. Largely ignorant of BTC etc but a society where a digital "decentralized" method of exchange created outta thin air by a entity only known by an alias doesn't inspire hope within myself just imo. If the system is designed so well and its pre-planned why would such a convenient Escape be present...A beneficial glitch within the matrix. While use of gold could become restricted and further controlled I have more faith in the physical something truly out of the system. Interesting video thanks

Click bait unfortunately and probably one of his worst efforts.

Guy fkd it in the first 10 seconds. It wasn't a WEF prediction, it was part of an ad/awareness campaign designed to voice a variety of predictions about a possible future world. It doesn't feature in the WEF policy which it must be pointed out is solidly founded upon a joint private enterprise/welfare State platform.

A couple of points from the video. Governments may be tempted to interfere in the housing market, but if saner heads prevail they'll work out that landlords provide a cheaper, better service for the majority of tenants than governments could hope to provide. The Albanese government in Oz understands it as he tries to lure super funds (and presumably SMSFs) into funding social housing. That doesn't make social housing a good investment though, which means that the private sector should not be responsible for housing everyone and that the government/charities should step up to the mark. Furthermore nationalising housing is not a guaranteed path to lower rents, a view shared by Berlin's newly elected Mayor at the time despite the outcome of the referendum. Forcing the sell-off of IPs does not mean those currently renting will seek to buy their own PPOR. Therefore, I don't see a real threat coming from governments upon RE ownership, particularly as the greatest threat to economic growth currently is the lack of private collateral.

Secondly, he argues that if large corporations aren't forced to sell-off their properties, then they will ride in and scoop up all the cheap properties after a housing crash. Hang on Guy...... are corporations going to be forced to sell or are they going to be encouraged to buy?? o_O

On the topic of EVs, how is it harder to "break the rules" if your vehicle is powered by electricity rather than petrol or diesel? Ride sharing etc is something the WEF is interested in promoting as it makes sense that goods that cost vast sums of money could probably be better utilised in a sharing economy rather than spending 20 hours a day parked in a garage or on the street not being used.

Thirdly, on CBDCs, Central Banks of wealthy countries have not explicitly stated that they want to see them introduced. They have said that there is a genuine market need for products that could streamline wholesale financial transactions particular cross-border, but have repeatedly said that they can't see a place for a retail CBDC. Except for the Eurozone, and it's unique.

    I stopped watching after that.

It's a shame he has resorted to the same marketing ploys as Schiff etc in order to promote crypto. There are sound fundamental reasons why crypto is a worthy asset class. None of what he touched on features in those fundamentals.

Youtube is simply more lucrative when you tell the largest subset of followers what they want to hear.

I just get the irrits when people chase "likes" or subs with spin. Saylor does a better job explaining why BTC is property worth accumulating than Guy did unfortunately, mind you he does a great job on analysing the tech fundamentals as far as I can tell.

Agreed the fear factor and doom sells more then hope especially these days. While this is totally irrelevant the what would U call it?...nasally sounding, slightly squeaky voice of Michael Saylor sets my teeth on edge. Seriously he may or not be well respected but damn sight of the man's beady eyes invokes wary caution...and then sadly he speaks :( Any relevance goes out the window I'd prefer a written document anyday ;)

Isn't it ironic that despite the outrage against fake news and bias reporting the tendency is for people to select and consume almost exclusively towards their bias? Why would people choose to make themselves feel uncomfortable with those nasty facts? I self audit my feeds often and catch myself out - too comfortable, too familiar, not challenging enough. That dream of a 'legacy media' is already dead. Migrating from legacy platforms, it's the same media result - incentivised to delivering what the people ask for.

There's definitely alot of misinformation and perversion of reality, much of it I look at and think what a load of shit...the real reason is a,b,c. But depends on what people want to believe and perceive to be true or factual and they're comfortable with. Say if I'm talking within a group of "tribal" investors/stackers whatever or in other situations that these days come up often do find myself altering my statements abit just so people aren't offended or it doesn't escalate. Sensitivity on programmed issues whether real or not can be a hassle. Even with very few family members and people I know find myself keeping quiet or just talking on superficial, surface level they either don't care or don't want to hear it. I rave on alot at times obviously ;) but this is one of only places that feel free too mediums are disappearing as are choices

There's a desire to belong even in the most twisted and imbittered of humans, it's something you can't escape without severe mental illness. It's why value systems are needed within power structures, and it's why society is currently challenged to move past a religion-based value system that guides the majority and without it chaos emerges (my personal opinions only). It's why you get progressive madness and extreme end of the 'love is love' brigade justifying fucking kids and dogs whilst the bible thumpers will condemn you to hell for all sorts of pettiness. The extreme ends are always going to be there to challenge the very fundamentals of morality, which are surprisingly hard to argue once you get past your disgust response and have to argue philosophically. It makes sense that a metaphysical force or deity emerges in all cultures to solve our corrupted and feeble humanness.

I think it's important to 'calibrate' yourself to your audience otherwise you won't be able to extract the information you need from those you're talking to - if you have that luxury of choice. And then there is our biology to consider - it's still a competition out there, for resources and power. Sometimes cooperation and tribalism gives the biggest net-gain for the most amount of people for the lowest amount of risk. A sports team is a good modern example of this played out in a short amount of time for entertainment. If someone is suggesting or imposing a worldview that I think goes against fundamental nature, then I am immediately sceptical of intentions. If someone can't accept that humans are flawed and that nature is brutal and impartial, then I'm sceptical of their worldview.

    Okay, I will chime in.

I think your missing the point Shiney.

It was quoted in the June 2020 launch with the Prince Charles interview.
WEF has stated publicly that by 2030 you will own nothing and still be happy.
Now, how does that fit into my mindset?

This sums up my feelings about the matter.

    Robert Arvanitis made this point.
"They are “statists” who feel there should be a ruling class that tells others how to live.
In their world, everything will be rented and temporary— where you live, what transports you, where and how you work (for them).
You will have no rights other than what they grant. You will have no choices except what they offer you. You will be happy because you do not remember, cannot imagine, any other life.
Of course like all other dystopias, even if it comes about it will fail.
Only the free market can match supply to demand in the economy, through the price mechanism. Any other system fails, from USSR 1919 to Venezuela 2019. No exceptions.
The “Great Reset” is a fraud, just like “nuclear winter,” and “global warming” and “climate change” before that. A catchphrase to mask totalitarian ambitions."

Guy went on to discuss "Obsolescence" with its history and how it has far reaching implications.
That is the real canary in the coal mine. We have seen it time and time again where you buy something and before long it becomes Subscription Based.
You can no longer use the older model because it becomes obsolete. That's how MS made its money. Tesla is doing the same thing. Google. so why not Apple.
I bought Tesla shares because they are more or less doing the same thing and are making bucket loads in the process. Sure, you buy a vanilla EV Model. However,
to have some of the upgrades, you pay more.
Tesla is planning for driverless cars and it won't be that far away. Elon mentions about ride sharing. However, his vision is to Uberise it with driverless cars.
Eventually, to privately own and drive a Tesla would be too expensive for the average person. Ride sharing might seem like a good idea at the moment.
However, when transport is driverless, you are only left with the crumbs competing against the giants.

I think the nationalising of the housing sector may partially work in some countries. However, to force it onto citizens
in Australia won't happen. When you consider how many politicians have their snout in the housing trough, it won't happen. The biggest push from the Albanese government
towards social housing is via Industry Superfunds. A good reason not to be in an Industry Superfund. I think Guy was specifically talking about the US where large corporations
are literally buying up whole suburbs. Welcome to the new ghettos.

On to the point of Central Bank Digital Currencies, the RBA recently have a pilot program looking into CBDCs.
All I can say on this matter, when push comes to shove Australia will follow.

If we had a complete meltdown, or War, I could see it happening very fast.
Just look at how quickly the World swung into action with Covid.
    Another failure.

What many people don't get is just how fast we are changing systems.
From the old to the new and it is growing exponentially.

This is precisely what Jeff Booth outlines in his book, "The price of tomorrow".

Always good to have differing points of view.

I got the point pretty clearly, Guy spun the old WEF wants to abolish private property line and then argued with a few examples of why BTC is a superior asset and would provide protection from those that are intent upon pursuing the apparent policy of WEF. And IMO did a pretty piss poor job of it.

You'll have to provide me with the link to that, I'm not familiar with the interview.

This topic has been discussed somewhere on this forum previously. My position remains the same, it is not WEF policy, it is not mentioned anywhere in any WEF policy document, the original content relating to the publication of that statement related to an advertising/awareness campaign promoting the differing world views held by individuals based upon their social and economic beliefs, in this case, the idea was published by a Dutch author speculating that in the future we will not need to own anything individually as capital goods and consumer goods will be shared. It was one of a number of articles published speculating on the economic future facing humanity.

Further, the "Great Reset" is nothing more than the stated policy direction of the WEF that a new world paradigm is required, not one where government provides everything (socialist) nor one where private enterprise provides everything (anarcho-capitalist) but rather one where government and industry cooperate together in order to face the increasing pressure for resources. One where governments meet unmet demand that either private enterprises won't or are unable to.

I've made my points regarding most of the rest of your post with the exception of the "planned obsolescence" idea and the subscription service. Neither points am I going to explore here as my main focus was to highlight the misuse of the WEF publication by Guy.

If you are fluent in Dutch you could jump on Ida Auken's blog and read what she means about that. In the meantime you could do some reading on the "circular economy" here in this article from 2014: https://nzmanufacturer.co.nz/2014/11/why-it-pays-to-join-the-circular-economy/

This is what I think she was getting at in her original paper, which I can no longer find. Reducing the need to own consumables as a more cost effective and sustainable use of resources. Naturally there will still be a need for individuals and businesses to own assets as a means to provide material and emotional satisfaction and as collateral to build wealth.

I’m looking forward to the elite making the shift to owning nothing! By leading by example it will make it clearer and easier for us plebs to follow suit.
I’ll start with a free garage sale and give away my stack, tinned food, clothes, and my missus.

    It's called THEFT.

    1. Since you own things now, how can you "not own" them in the future? Only if someone STEALS them from you.
    2. If you can't own anything in the future, will anyone own anything? If yes, then you can call them "elites", since they're the ones with the privileges.

    >>> this is called neo-FEUDALISM through THEFT

Why don't they simply give up their fortune, give away to the poor, go bankrupt and simply retire? :D Oh, and they should also scrap their private jets!
