So, the stand-off between depositors in some PRC regional banks and the CCP seems to have developed during the last 24 hours. Google "Tanks are being put on the streets in China to protect the banks."....and you won't find one western media outlet covering the story. It does look like Ch7 in Aust ran a piece but surprise it's no longer on their web pages.
So the celestials are finding out that when you deposit money in a bank it ceases to be your money, and it becomes the bank's money to do with as they please and you become just another unsecured creditor who might get a few pennies in a dollar if things go pear shape.
There's doubt over the authenticity of whether it's linked to bank protests. Apparently some twitter accounts have taken an event and embellished it. What a surprise. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/worl...sters-what-we-do-know-what-we-dont/ar-AAZPTlL
The bubble has popped. You have a nation where most people earn 400AUD a month and RE prices are (or should I say WERE) absurd. A million AUD or more for a modest apartment in 1st tier cities. Furthermore, news.com.au reported that the nation pretty much universally celebrated the assassination of Abe. Of course, the lefty ABC was silent. With Wong as foreign minister, we are fucked. And is the report real? The devil knows, because dictatorships like PRC and RU are opaque as f****. Just be glad we live in a democracy with at least some accountability, at least for now.
It's funny in the article how the crapto bulls are trying to spin it as a win against fiat. It's definitely a show of force. It's like "if you mess with us, we can do another T Square!". I mean, in what other country do the military do drills in the CBDs? Social unrest is the order of the day, and not just over there.
Yeh that comment stood out in my mind when I read the article. Cryptobulls can talk as much shit as goldbulls.
Celebrating Abe's murder is about as low as it can get and is telling about their unscrupulous intentions&lack of any civilities. 100% detestable. Could not agree more re. Wong and the ramifications thereof.
AP News: "Video of tanks shows Chinese military exercise, not bank barricade" France24: "Did the Chinese government really deploy tanks to suppress protesters in Henan province?"
Yeah this wasn't near the bank runs apparently but check this out for more info, if you haven't already that is.
