    Hi everyone,
I'm just wondering if anyone else got Perth Mint Wombats while they were available & also what the demand for them is like on the aftermarket?

I'm not sure if I'm imagining it but there seem to be wayyy more of these kinds of releases than say 5 years ago... not sure if that has an impact on premiums but knowing the Perth Mint they are up to their usual marketing tricks and just milking a trend until the milk goes sour (for us).

I was thinking similarly... It feels a bit like the whole privy debacle all over again.
Having said that, with a mintage of 30,000 (from memory), I thought it couldn't hurt to grab a roll & see if there was a flip opportunity.

Indeed. It's a play against lunars.. the market is now so tight on lunars SIII - they are where the gains can be made as the mint starts pumping out seemingly endless 'limited' runs yet all the unlimited mintage lunar sizes (1/2oz 2oz, 5oz etc) are just always out of stock now? We'll see. I'm sure there's wheat amongst the chaff!

    I was thinking that!!
If they would stop looking for "other" coins and concentrated on minting the successful coins they have in the established variety of sizes, they'd probably do just as well if not better AND not risk losing credibility.
    FYI 5oz Tigers are out!!

Low mintage doesn't mean anything these days as more real sh!t being pump up.
As anyone can assign them to make for them, if you are rich enough.

True.... Just look at all of the "Under Licence" coins like the Simpsons crap etc!!
After what had been said above, I got to thinking... In recent years we've had:
Kookaburras, Koalas, Lunar Animal, Quokkas, Swans, Emus, Dragons, Phoenix, Pixui ....did I miss any of this ever growing menagerie of animals both real & mythical!?!
It really is getting out of hand.
