When I say "inhuman", it is meant to be a compliment. It might be lost in translation. What I mean is more superior than human, a resilient people that would not be traumatised or ashamed of WWII. Also, I'm referring to the Japanese society as a whole, not individuals. Individuals have different personality and are no different from everyone else, but as a society and culture, it's a different matter altogether. The Japanese appear to me to be people who are forward looking, they do not dwell on the past. If they dwelt on the past, Japan wouldn't have embraced nuclear energy just soon after Hiroshima, and even now, after the disastrous nuclear meltdown at Fukushima, they cleaned up the entire place and are still using nuclear energy as soon as they passed new safety standards, no fear at all. I do not see another people that can make such an achievement. The Americans have a strange relationship with Japan. I think the Japanese actually admire the Americans a lot, even after 1945. The Americans blackships created events that led to the downfall of the Tokugawa Shogunate and creation of modern day Japan. I would see America as a natural ally to Japan, but also a potential formidable future adversary and a fearless one. Again, I'm talking about the society, not individuals.
