Hi all, I just received 2oz Tiger coins from the Perth Mint. Fantastic coins but I'm disappointed that there's a scratch in the capsule, above the hump of the tiger's back Has anyone had this experience with Perth Mint and did they swap it for a one in a perfect capsule? Cheers, Justin
It's not rare. I still remember that back in 2012 I walked in Perth Mint and bought a 10 oz Dragon Coin.....I found it has a toning stain on the surface when I was home...…very disappointed at that time.
Wow, that would be disappointing! Did you take it back for an exchange? I've emailed the Perth Mint but haven't heard back - would have expected it to be in mint condition since it came new from the mint (by definition!).
I was training in PERTH at one stage a couple hundred metres from the mint.My sons birthday was coming up so I thought id get him a spanking new 10 oz bar at the time.Had heaps at home in Melbourne but couldn't get to them Went in to the Mint and the Guy brings me almost the shitiest bar I have ever layed my eyes on, i'm incredulous and say "You must be kidding!!" I want this for a birthday present. He goes into a spiel about how they are random Blah Blah Blah. The place was packed so I thought fck it and put on my best Soprano voice and just Start complaining like a two stroke lawn mower making a scene.Every body in their just stops to listen and I could see the sales guy wanted to dissapear behind the counter. He then goes and gets 15 bars and says take your pick. I had learned a saying from my German father in law that works well "The squeakiest wheel gets the most oil" lol
Here's an update. I didn't receive any response back to the email I sent the Perth Mint... then today I received a text message from Australia Post about a parcel that was left at a post office as 9t was sent to an address I lived at a year ago. I opened the package from Perth Mint and they had sent me 10x spare 2oz capsules lol. Pretty happy about it, but surprised they didn't communicate back
CSI case closed. on the other hand , there lacking for communication as no one want responsibility???
they are assuming Australian Post deliver try to ask in the same email with a resent, i got nothing yet about the message but karma can return
