this is to be expected, passing by never post any problem to them, just in transit. this is done for humanitarian reason. we always feed the boat people when they drop by, they need repairs and so on when heading to Australia
The Panjshir valley is now held by the Tajiks. Hundreds of Taliban killed in last 2 days fighting. It's a death trap, whatever goes in, cannot come out alive. I found a travelblog taken that shows the valley. Fast forward to 5 mins. There are no trees, nowhere for an invader to hide while the defenders merge into the grey rocks on the cliffs and you can't even see them and the sound of gunfire will echo throughout the valley so it's impossible to know where the shots come from. Any army that comes in will be massacred with almost no losses to the defenders. It looks like a mountain version of iwo jima, but 10x more difficult to invade.
its open air and drones, everything is visible from mountain tops nobody goes in, no body gets out also
The dynamics in Afghanistan is very interesting because eventually, the conflict will turn into a racial and sectarian battle. The shiite hazaras vs the Sunni Talibans. Iran and Russia will back the Hazaras while China backs the talibans? Then there's IS which is probably fighting eveyone else.
The properties in China are probably only worth 20-30% of their paper value. Will this insolvent company blow up? Just wondering what's the risk of contagion to the world markets. https://www.reuters.com/business/china-evergrande-bonds-suspended-prices-slump-2021-09-06/
Where did you hear that? The value of gold and foreign exchange assets on the RBA's balance sheet hardly moved in the July period, there was about an 8% rise in the value in late August which likely coincided with the 6% rise in the POG mid-August and a rise in the value of the USD v AUD which was about 4%.
Read about the link between Evergrande bonds and teether. Those playing cryptos should take a look. Looks serious...
I've always given up reading a crypto article after just 3 paragraphs, it's always so cryptic. Too complicated for my simple mind.
