    Hi,

I have an ongoing dispute with a member stemming from a trade originating on a FB group, but this member is well known and on this forum.
At this point he is refusing to respond to me. I sent nearly a thousand dollars to the wrong account # because the seller gave me the wrong account #. I have screenshots, but at this point I am just desperate to get my $ back. I am out this money and the member has repeatedly insulted me and is now refusing to respond to me or help me.

    Thanks,
    -Arb

    G'day Arb
I think the focus should be to retrieve your funds.
Mistakes do happen; and in this instance, the seller may also be at a lost as to how to help you
(since the funds are now in a wrong account to which he has no access).

I believe that most banks (I hope all) will be helpful in "stopping" or "reversing" fund transfers that are incorrect.
    I would suggest you contact YOUR bank's Customer Service ASAP and explain the situation to them;
and they will advise the steps you need to take.

It may be tedious and a bit of a wait, but hopefully all will turn out good.

Wishing you all the best with the return of your funds.

I've had a similar situation on here years ago with a member giving me the wrong bank details, it was only 100 bucks, and he realised he'd sent the wrong numbers and corrected himself within 10 minutes but I'd already made the transfer.
He realised that it was his mistake and sent me the package anyway.
It sucks for the seller, but they effed up and should eat the loss. Consider it a tough lesson learned.

Yes, banks do hv this process, with exception of the acct & funds are still intact… if acct is closed, then your loss, & can get police to get involved by raising a case of fraud…and this takes a looooooooonnnggg time to get funds back….with no accrued interests.

Is it one digit error? or the full string of acct nbr?

honestly, it’s Seller’s blunder and he/she should honour it while you initiate the reverse process..

FB Group...hard to trust seller or buyer. OP 1 post (this one) and no trade.

Always, always 2 sides to the story.

Who wouldn't go rush to their bank before making their first post on SS asking for help? Not saying it isn't true but would be interested in hearing from the "well known" member.
