Is there somewhere(in Australia) that sells copper in bars rather then 1oz coins like the bigger bars on jmbullion?

I'll sell you a bunch of cables and you can make some bars from that? Lol. Genuinely interested though, what is your interest in these? I'd have thought it would be so niche that moving it when you want to would be quite a task? And would take up a massive amount of space to be storing any real value?

Go to an electrical wholesaler and ask for copper busbar. You can get it in whatever length you want.

For non ferrous metals in Brisbane I buy from www.georgeweston.com.au They have a counter service and will cut and sell you any length you want. I buy for industrial use though, I can't say I've ever studied how their retail prices compare to spot.

Definitely the way to go buying from industrial suppliers.

If you google image for copper bullion, many bars are clearly just sections of busbar bought from an industrial refiner and stamped by a dealer or mint to be resold at a premium lol.

When you sell this, would a buyer pay you spot, or most likely scrap copper prices?

Depends wildly on the scrap dealer. For heavy copper items like busbar (or say, 300mm XLPE cable scrap) you'll definitely get a premium over say, a bag of unstripped PVC cable but most likely only a few dollars less than spot.
And you usually need an ABN to sell over a certain amount to a dealer and need to present photo ID as part of theft prevention laws.

I buy a box of pennies at the bank when I'm bored during the winter.
It's currently 1/3 priced copper because of the face value but takes some time out of your day.
    Nothing like free money!

I know another penny hoarder even worse than me but he sells them to his LCS and gets 2 cents each, so half priced silver in the end. It's a good idea and good profit for a little bit of inside work.
