Yep good stuff. They cook up tails and tongues and the parts I've never eaten before but they make it taste good.

A 1986 mint coin set for $20 ... because I couldn't stand the fact there were no 1986 1c or 2c coins in my 1&2s jar

Didn't actually buy these today, rather the other week from a vinyl and tape shop in Echuca whilst road tripping in Vic / NSW.

Mail call today. 12 x 750ml bottles of top quality wine. Delivered to the door for the grand price of $3.40 each. (Sorry to those living overseas but wine can be bought very cheap in AU)

I have been buying my wine at auction at https://www.grays.com/wine-and-more?tab=items for 16 years now. I have never paid more than $5 per bottle delivered.

A few tips: Always buy at auction and not at fixed price and always buy 12 bottles at a time as postage is the same as for 6 bottle packs. There is a buyers premium of 17.5% and a $17 delivery charge per box of 12.

Although that particular sale gave me a birthday voucher which I applied I can still buy other wine at under $5 a bottle delivered, enjoy.

Here's a small sample from an auction tonight.

2009 for $3.40 each? Where from?

Is it good or does it smell like vinegar?

(Edit to say that if I'd kept reading I would have have my answer) Have used Grays before. It was hit and miss.

    These both arrived on Friday.

I have regular targets but shooting zombies is much more fun and at least I'll be ready for that promised Zombie apocalypse. ☺

The wine tastes reasonable to me but I should have checked the alcohol content first as it is 14.5% and it's a bit too high and overpowering for me.

I reckon over the 16 years I would have bought maybe a 100 cases or so and maybe 5% were undrinkable or not to my liking. I can live with that as the savings I make outweigh the losses.

They also have a money back guarantee if you don't like your wine, however I have not used this. :)

Good point. We had some absoluter pearlers from there that should have been cellared but we were paying a fair bit more than those prices. And I can tell by the colour of that rose on the pic that it's bad..

My partner used to take care of al that, I'd just drink it. She had her own personalised wine merchant towards the end..
