I own a 3D printer and have been making coin tubes to store my 50s and florins etc for a while - namely because it's easier to print then to find coin tubes for the various sizes. I've been even considering making some for my larger silver bars.

It occurred to me today that these may benefit others in the community, particularly those looking for tubes for coins of uncommon dimensions. Is this something that would interest others? I can pretty much do any size, shape or form factor desired. I was thinking for bars I could do trays?

I've attached a photo of an example of one I printed (50c round, 50 coins):

    Glad there's some interest!

I definitely can't make them cheaper than I've seen on eBay, so I think the best niche is for those who have uncommon coin sizes and/or only need a few tubes.

What sizes have people been struggling with?

Curious what is the impact protection from the one you made? The clear tubes are very weak, the white stacker tubes seem much more durable like US/CAN mint tubes for the accidental drop.
I have some older poured bars I would want to protect and also to more cleanly stack

    Hey mate,

Mine are about 3 mm thick (which is probably overkill). That said I haven't done a drop test. I can really do any thickness you desire (though it'll use more plastic).

Can also do a rubber-like seal if you need complete air tightness.
