The word racist has no meaning anymore. It's been overused by the party of slavery to the point no one cares.
It became a political weapon. And the real racists will get away. "Racist" has become an insult, pretty much like calling someone an "idiot". The word has lots its true meaning. No, I don't think Trump is a racist.
No, not brain washed. There are 2 categories, the really patriotic and the realist. The really patriotic are a minority, maybe only 5%. The realists are the other 95% and of the 95%, 8 out of 10 are not happy, but if you do a survey, only 1 in 10 will reveal their dissatisfaction. It's the same with the US conservatives, only half will reveal, but just more extreme there. An analogy will be a company, when you work for a company that sucks, like Amazon, majority of people are not happy but most can't reveal it at work and there's no point sulking the whole day as it will make yourself feeling even more miserable, so you will tell yourself to believe you're happy with your work, a form of self-brainwashing. It's the same logic. Even more interesting is when people ask them about their job, they'll probably say Amazon is a great place to work, blah, blah, blah... And the media will portray Amazon as a great place to work with happy employees, they have to, otherwise consumers won't buy from that company.
