    Quick question:
    Assuming this was real: https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-view-details.html?adId=1264087465

    How much would it normally go for? I mean 1986 is the first year mintage of the American Gold Eagle. I'm not buying because I've already been burnt once on Gumtree, but wanted the opinion of others who know more than I.

    I have a 1986 bullion gold eagle. On mine the field (background) has a matt finish on both sides. The field on the gumtree coin is smooth.

    if you search for gold eagle 1986 you will see pictures of genuine eagles. As spannermonkey advises, this is a fake.
