I sold some BTC today. I'm expecting a bit of a dip to buy back in. I hope I didn't sell too early.

I did that throughout 2017 and found it near impossible to pick the dips. During a bull market it can run away from you and leave you with FOMO - then buying in higher.

This time I'm not selling until I see clear signs of mania, or if I need the money for something else :)

I‘be been using the strategy of trading profits in alts for BTC. I’m adding ETH to that strategy as well.

Essentially I’m hodling the big 2 and riding the fluctuations.

Well it's about time aye. The pyramid scheme token that baits newbies in with a wack market cap/supply ratio giving people a false sense of a "cheap" token asset. I feel it's unfair to the hodlers being that the authorities have waited this long though... mostly naive investors that thought XRP was just a cheap version of BTC. They should of made it more clear on XRP when they gave BTC and ETH a pass. I hope XLM gets some of the exodus investors and maybe an opportunity to get the word out on the DAO XRP fork. If anyone does own a bag of XRP, I'd suggest you get out before exchanges start delisting. -10% seems light on this news.

Holy moly some money lost on xrp (not mine thankfully). But I can imagine the ‘just should have bought and held btc’ talks people are having..

A 50% loss in a week. Yep, that's got to sting.

Personally, I hate XRP and would never have considered buying any....until now. Purely an oversold contrarian and short term play but it's got to be a buy at $0.27

Being a trader of xrp when fraction of a cent I think it was overbought and artificially pumped since it left 2c and I wouldn't be surprised if it went to the single cent digit again now. It's created a fear wave over all alts so I'd be backing up the truck over the new year on other solid DAO alts and forget XRP. If you like the distributed ledger tech then look into Stellar. Otherwise there is some nice alt projects that actually do have a usecase that isn't funding a billion dollar company, that are nearing their Satoshi low. Take advantage! XRP is lightyears apart from the rest of the crypto community and people will realise after this event. The SEC is even investigating itself here as Ripple has employed a SEC chair since 2016 as their lawyer. Massive internal pump and dump evidence with exchange syndicate, with Ripple removing in the billions against XRP buyer/supporter expense. It's shameful it's been going on this long tbh.

ETH is still way off it's ATH. Time for it to play catch up on BTC?

Yeah. I'd bet on that. I even noticed IGmarkets have a eth/btc CFD pair. Thought that was pretty cool. But big spreads which usually means liquidity issues.

But yeah I'm validating on 2.0 and am very bullish on ETH next few years when sharding and the rest of 2.0 rolls out.

btc is dead and has no real world use. xrp is the future. i just swapped 100% of my btc for xrp. feels good. the day of 50c xrp might be looked back on one day like the day of 50c btc. but could take decades to get to where btc is. its a long term hold imo. good video on it :

Your risk appetite must be huge. An SEC lawsuit, delisting from a number of minor exchanges, along with major exchanges and ETFs either suspending trading in XRP or excluding US capital from participating seems to contribute to a risky decision.

Surely he is trolling. Or maybe he is just trading in peanuts for shits and giggles.

I called XRP a buy at 27c and it has had a solid bounce but his statement is probably the most moronic thing I've seen this month considering what's going on around both these cryptos (and I am reluctant to even call XRP a crypto).

i got lucky and bought the dip on xrp. they are doing a flare token drop too so any xrp someone has 12 dec ( i had some) gets flare (smart contracts better than eth). btc will die when speculators run out or the last coin is mined 2140 and there is no more incentive to mine. david schwartz, the inventor of xrp is satoshi nakamoti. if everyone knew that they would probably sell btc and buy xrp causing a big market crash.

This is exactly why I love swing trading, never a need to hodl.
Besides the indicators nothing matters. Dont even need to look at names or have any loyalties.
I only hodl btc and ethereum right now but that can change by the minute and next minute no hodl or hodl a few days, always a mystery. Maybe a whole new aircoin next.
The only place my cash can sit with no worry is metals, otherwise I keep an eagle eye on da bullshit.
    And it's all bullshit.

    Metals, good to go hodl.

Seeing XRP was 3rd in marketcap for 2020 im not so sure, an indictment is not a conviction
