Unfortunately I lost it all along with my guns in a boating accident today hehe.... I'm not worried and no info online for me. I feel pretty safe here and its hidden well so it wouldnt be found. I feel its safer than at any safe deposit or any vault. It's the safe of all safes. No one I know has a clue except my kids, my wife and mom. Most people think you are insane to buy gold or silver so it's not some thing I share anyway with anyone and no reason to. I only share things here with you people and staying anonymous is fine with me. Even my lcs is 2 hours away and over the mountains although hes a guy I'd trust. Of course he knows what I've bought off from him anyway haha. Other than the few in my family and some dudes in australia and on islands I cant spell, I'm just another guy working his life away. I do usually have a small amount around until I get enough to pack away and it makes me nervous just to have that. No way would i keep a large volume in easy reach. The bottom of the lake is probably the safest place I've found so far
Bought a little nugget and a new hand made Jarrha wood display box to house them all in, nice wall hanger
My son called yesterday from the lcs and he had a large supply in stock. I asked if he had any silver dollars and my son said he already bought them (grrr). I ended up getting two 10 oz silver bars. One American flag bar and another says "strategic stockpile stored at assay office" or something like that with a serial number. $26 an oz is a little on the high side for me right now but I just couldnt resist. My son got some bullion to flip and a few nice silver dollars and a Carson City or two suprisingly. Those were a whopping $25 each! He wouldnt sell me those haha. I've been into bars more for some reason lately. I'm not sure why. I never really wanted bars before very often.
2020 ASE - S Proof arrived in the mail today. I Thought I may as well grab one of the last 2020 "original style" ASE's before they change over to the new version. Of course, now, it appears that they'll be keeping the current style until the middle of next year before updating. "The U.S. Mint plans to release the redesigned 2021 American Silver Eagle in "summer 2021" according to their press release ("United States Mint Unveils New American Eagle Gold and Silver Coin Reverse Designs"). This means that some versions of Silver Eagles will be made with both designs."
I had a birthday yesterday. And by coincidence complete my Queen's Beasts gold collection https://www.instagram.com/p/CG9J32qqFtm/?igshid=7js0cocj8ayi Do not know how to attach this video here((
Happy b day! I got home from Durango yesterday to find my Peace dollars had come from Apmex. Whoo hoo! They were supposed to be culls but sure look nice to me.
I went ahead and ordered a few more things from apmex today. A 2 ounce libertad and also a 5 oz. And a little 5 gram secondary market gold bar. I keep having the feeling I'm holding too much cash and metals are about to shoot up with Biden sniffing the neck of the economy now. I'd rather trust my gut and a little more savings is always good.
At long last these arrived in the mail recently, only just got access to a decent camera to take photos. I tried with my phone, but it's a potato.
I haven't looked, but I also haven't seen any Biden coins, who tf would buy them? He has zero enthusiasm behind him. Trump is the God Emperor.
Interestingly XRF'd at just on .990 purity despite it being listed as .925. Could it perhaps be a jeweler's copy or just bad alchemy 120 years ago when it was made? https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces11590.html
2 German medals/rounds, both XRF'd as .999 purity. Can anyone shed any light on who minted them? - I'm thinking it's a German Mint as the little "1000" at the bottom of both coins is a German designation of pure silver I believe. Any info would be appreciated as they are not on Numista unfortunately (all the marks are on the capsule, not the coins) 30 Years - Social Market Economy 1948-1978 10th Anniversary of the Death of Konrad Adenauer
I didnt buy but i pulled a bunch of copper pipes out of the dumpster at work some ignoramus threw away. I want to try to melt them down with my oxy/acetelyne torch and pour a bar for fun. Has anyone tried this? I was just going to order a mold kit thing on amazon and see what happens.
I found some YouTube videos but my internet sucks here. I'm traveling for work this week so I'll watch them in the hotel.
Finally received my 75th End of WWII ASE today nearly 1 month after ordering it. It sat "processing" for nearly 3 weeks before it shipped and I was a bit worried that they were going to cancel it, although after I queried why it was still processing, they assured me that I would receive it and that there was currently a delay in shipping. 9 days after shipping it was delivered to me and here it is. As usual, it was a frustrating experience with the website constantly crashing and it took me approximately 20 minutes of constantly having to refresh in order to add it to my cart and successfully checkout. Unfortunately I missed out on the 75th Anniversary Silver Medal as it became unavailable as I was trying to buy it amid the constant page refreshing.
