French are fleeting Paris in a "dystopian" scene, because of the soon to be imposed lockdown... and terror attacks:

Excellent points made - from an "uneducated economist" in an average car:

Indeed, "cash is king" when the markets and banks collapse, right? Because the masses all hoard it. Right?

My addition to this is: once the hoard that cash and it devalues (along the road), that's when they'd want to put that (literally paper) into something tangible and of high value (like gold) and not in the bank.

This could be a logical trajectory.

The race is too close to call.

I'm quite surprised Australians don't know that who gets elected matters to you. If Trump wins, the blockade will be called off.

If he loses, geopolitical tensions will rise and it will be bad for all of us in the Pacific region.

The bookies have him at 75% chance to win from here.
I will take those odds any day of the week, I think that Biden is toast.

PS: Oops, I think I spoke too soon, Trumps odds just nosedived to 57% after Biden
    won Arizona.

From what I see (directly on Google), Biden has advantage: in electoral votes, as well in popular votes.

Yes Undeucated Ecconomist is very Talented at explaining things to the Leyman.

    Very Logical Mind.

With the run into cash, Everyone recognises it. Of course if there is a shortage of it the banks will print more, so if those to hold it to be in more tangible items of value.

Also cash can be changed for items which you need in a SHTF situation. This will equalise and demoand for those items, and hence cash might not be as much after people aquire what they need / will exchange their cash for.

In that scenario, bank runs are so abundant that banks will not have enough cash at hand. This happened in Greece and Cyprus.

If you don't hold it, you don't own it.

Trump still favourite (odds still in the 50s), it looks like they will let this go down to the wire without announcing a winner for some time.

Hope you are wrong about a draw, this will please no one and will lead to serious civil unrest and possibly even civil war in the future.

Then again maybe that was what the elites planned all along.

From the look of it, whoever wins, this might be America's last "part-free" election.

Wow! Biden now 75% odds on to be the next president according to the bookmakers.

The only part free thing about elections is that they dont charge you money to cast your vote, you pay for it afterwards;)

It looks like a "reality show" anyway. Too many too close ties. How come only in the US there are almost always at a close tie and almost always we're biting out nails for 2-3 days until 5-6 "slow counting" states finally count the votes.

It's like wrestling with huge punches and "equal" chances, terrible kicks and tremendous jumps. All these with NO BLOOD and with the tiniest clues showing "who might win". But if you're careful enough, then you can see the signs of who might win at the beginning of a wrestling match.

...what happens during the match is "acting" anyway...

I liked monster truck racing more, anyway ;)

I guess Poland is still a democratic country after all, but what is happening doesn't surprise me. Almost invariable, if the vote count is close, the powers to be will always win. That's why I'm not confident of Trump's win many hours ago when I saw that the counts are close. I guess there will be court cases and the scenario you fear is happening.

Sportsbet has declared Biden the winner and started paying out punters early (before the final result is officially announced).

This is the same mob that started to payout early in the last Australian federal election because they said that Labor couldn't possibly lose that election, so there is hope for Trump supporters yet.

    Statement from the Trump Campaign
    UPDATE
Let me make something crystal clear:
No one is trying to undue the just results of a fair & impartial election, regardless of its winner.
    Fact.
However, this is not simply about "every vote being counted."
While that makes for a great sound bite, this is about HOW those votes were securely RECEIVED.
    How they were STORED.
    How they were COUNTED.
Whether SIGNATURES should match or POSTMARKS should be legible.
Our legal team is fighting to ensure that ALL legal ballots – and ONLY legal ballots – are tallied.
And if we count all legal ballots, President Trump wins.
    Period.
But these are not determinations to be made by the State, but rather by the Courts. Full stop.
    Here is where we stand:
    ARIZONA
[IMG] Facebook & Twitter have rightly removed Arizona from Biden’s electorate column on their official election map(s) and CNN never called it.
[IMG] Countless heavily Republican remain in play and will break in Trump’s favor.
[IMG] Maricopa County overnight was a pickup of +50,000 votes for Trump.
[IMG] Biden lead is now 90k with 520k ballots remaining.
[IMG] We expect to win 70% of these ballots.
[IMG] We are now confident we will now win AZ by 30,000 votes.
    GEORGIA
[IMG] President Trump has built an insurmountable lead of over 100,000 votes that the Democrats cannot beat. Period.
    NORTH CAROLINA
[IMG] President Trump has built an insurmountable lead of over 76,000 votes that the Democrats cannot beat. Period.
    WISCONSIN
[IMG] President Trump has formally petitioned for a state recount, as the current results fall within the 1% legal margin of error.
[IMG] Several outlying counties are leaning heavily Republican, including Kenosha, Green Bay, Pierce & Richland.
    MICHIGAN
[IMG] President Trump believes we will win this state outright, as several outlying GOP counties have yet to be counted & we will sue to stop any declaration of a winner until they are duly amended.
    PENNSYLVANIA
[IMG] Trump is up in PA by nearly 700,000 votes with over 3/4 of the votes tallied.
[IMG] 1.5 million mail-in ballots remain outstanding, along with 5 heavily Republican leaning counties.
[IMG] Even if 95% of the mail-in ballots go to Biden, Trump still wins the state by over 40,000 votes.
[IMG] The campaign will be making a public statement about evidence of ballot fraud shortly.
    NEVADA
[IMG] Late breaking mail gets Trump a win by a margin of over 5,500 votes.
Lastly, anyone who thinks that a 270 declaration in the next 24 hours by the mainstream media for a specific candidate to deliberately sway public opinion is going to derail our determination to protect the legal integrity of this election - or deter us from its ultimate victory - is not only naive, but hypocritical.
After all, we’re still waiting for a “peaceful transfer of power” from 2016.
Today’s actions are not only within the President’s legal rights.
    They are his responsibility.

Goodness gracious me, even shiney likes @Davros10 post that Trump is still in the running for a second term as president.

Who said that the rabid lefties can't be cured of the disorder that afflicts them so badly!

Or maybe it is shiney's way of letting me know that he is still alive and relevant :p:D:p:D

Either way shiney sure is persistent!

I think Trump has odds very much against him. His greatest achievement is to show the world that we can't depend on the US government.. and the American electorate.
