bought 10oz minted bar, but corners are shaved

    Yes, my correction: it's already 1,700+ USD per spot, that puts it at 17,000 $ per 10 oz.

    People shaved, never heard bar shaved. :rolleyes:
    Seen some bars got drilled. :eek: and cored out.
    Someone probably looking for Hardcore. :oops:

    Perhaps the bar was a little bit overweight after it was poured (I reckon before the minting process), so someone decided to shave a bit of it off.

    I think all mints have detectors to hinder employees from leaving with gold powder in their pockets.

    Perhaps the previous owner of the bar (or someone at the factory) used it to reach some hard to reach spot to scratch on their back :D

    You'll get less than spot price when you sell this to dealers, cause less than 10oz.. better sell here :D

    He said it weighs 311 g, that's 10 oz.
