I am trying to remember who the members were that warned that it was a spike and sold near the top during the huge runup a decade ago. There were a lot of bets and "I told you so" moments. A few here were predicting a raid fall and sold their stack at a big profit. So many members got caught up in the excitement and lost loads of money by panic buying as silver rose a dollar a day for a while, every day here there was a new thread called $XX.00 silver as the price hit the next dollar mark and there were pronouncements that "gold and silver will never be cheap again, buy now while you still can". Can any old timers here recall the epic threads about who predicted and sold at the peak? I remember one really colourful character but I can't quite recall his name....
I have been flicking around TV news... and not a word, I've seen 2 short financial reports all negative.

There is nothing about Gold or silver, scrolling down bitcoin in mentioned before gold or silver. A week ago there was articles pumping btc and ripple and saying gold looks like it's going down. This is just the automatic news that pops up on my phone.

Aye BlackSheep, ye wooly hide always covered a wise heart. The same to ye laddie! Me thinks there are some very properus people on eBay tonight. Or desperate! I studied the 'SOLD' charts for silver coins in me cabin tonight and noted some silver ounces selling (in bulk) for over $67 per coin! I'm glad our sharp-eyed crew noticed that $1 drop earlier tonight. I hope ye all had a good look at that old sea monster -- because the price has now recovered and it is only a 20 cent drop now. Looks a lot less fierce now to be sure!
