I've to agree that Trump is a paper tiger, but he isn't stupid, he is just too kind. And because he is too kind, he can't drain the swamp. Trump is the only person now who is trying to stop WWIII. Now, the Deep State and the Democrats they control to counter Trump are blinded by the honeypot. But once China starts to show real ambition, they will have nothing of it and big trouble will begin. Not many people know that Qing China was the largest economy in world and had the largest army with the biggest and most number of cannons for most of the 19th century. They were not backward as the propaganda had portrayed them to be in order to justify the defeat to numerically much smaller Western powers. The decline really only started towards the end of the century. History is repeating itself.

    China is not combat ready.
They have no battle hardened veterans.
They have no joint services war experience.
They have no battle hardened high ranking staff.

They have no coordinated military what so ever, they do not have a coordinated "war-system", the US and its allies does.
They do have some electronic counter measures but I think they are way off anything that can used to defeat a major threat such as the US.

Having said that, they have managed to unknowingly, prepare not only the US but other countries to boost their own preparedness
in regard to biological warfare and electronic warfare.

Who rules in the future will be down to who controls AI.

China has upset their own people, they have shown their true colours to their trading partners and many of their neighbours including the Indians (Nuclear power) and Russia.
    Taiwan is not too happy.

China is up to their eye-balls in debt, so much so that they make the US money machine look like a Tea party.

"Never trust a communist" is a saying amongst those who had their relatives dying in war against the Soviet Union.

A communist state, also known as Marxist–Leninist state, is a state that is administered and governed by a single communist party guided by Marxism–Leninism. Marxism–Leninism was the state ideology of the Soviet Union, the Comintern after Bolshevization and the communist states within the Comecon, the Eastern Bloc and the Warsaw Pact. Marxism–Leninism remains the ideology of several communist states around the world and the official ideology of the ruling parties of China, Cuba, Laos and Vietnam.

When the paper price drops in this next crash, I bet premiums will remain unchanged or even go up.
Theres no possible way that physical price will come down at this stage of the game.
That said, it's still a buying opportunity in my mind and I'm still stacking.

I agree with you. I recall hearing a colleague arguing with a co-worker. The next day I also had an argument with the same co-worker. I walked into my colleagues office and exploded "my god Susan is an idiot" ...expecting sympathy. He just looked at me and said Susan's annoying but she's not an idiot. It was an epiphany because it was so true. She was one of the smartest people at the bank.
Trump has a colossal ego and is completely inarticulate but he is not stupid.

You know that he actually wins if he loses the election? I don't think he wants the job although he is too proud to admit it. The plague has changed the geopolitical dynamics totally. The world is now in a state of war.

The next US President will need to be a butcher, a job which I don't think he will relish. Trump is a businessman not a butcher.

Doesn't mean they won't have a red hot go of it and produce a huge amount of devastation in the process.

Yes the futures market is back to near $1800 as I type, so the spot price should get over that milestone sometime this week
if we dont get a humongous paper dump from the cartel.

Will be interesting to see if the Aussie dollar rises in tandem with gold price over the next few months as the price approaches US 2k,
thereby mitigating any real price increase for us Aussie stackers.

The only thing that might upset the rise will be a move up in the U.S. Dollar. The dollar appears to be building strength around the 97 mark. Some major bad news out of Europe ( such as an extremely negative 2nd quarter results for Deutsche Bank which is due at the end of July ) would put a rocket under the dollar. A quick reaction could depress gold for a few months again. This would provide the energy for a cup and handle formation in gold. Just a thought. I am waiting until August before I make a decision on putting more money on the table.

So you're confident that the physical price will follow spot? I wouldnt be so sure of that.
The best buying opportunity might be the present.
