    • Limited mintage of only 75,000 coins!
    • Contains 2 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver in BU condition.
    • Issued a face value of $2 (AUD) by Australia.
    • On the obverse is Queen Elizabeth II.
    • The reverse features a mother kookaburra with her young baby.
The term piedfort comes from the Middle Ages and refers to the coinage of the era that was often known as a heavy-foot style. These coins were thicker specimens with greater weight in a smaller diameter. Modern coins of this type represent that same reality with a 2 oz weight on a 1 oz coin diameter.
