Hi! I'm based on the east coast of Australia and have recently started stacking! One question I have is that I would like to know what the etiquette for trades is... Can I simply start a new thread on the AU & NZ Trading Post stating what I would like to trade? Thanks for the help! Regards, Rutinski
Welcome along. Yes you can start your own sales thread. I would look around first and see a few examples of sales threads by long term members. You will also notice that new members who start selling will be asked to post first to established members, so bare this in mind as it is totally up to you, but it does give you good standing if you do. .
Plenty of us on the east side to trade face to face until your reputation is established. Welcome and enjoy
Hi Stewy, thanks for the info... Can you please explain what you mean by "new members who start selling will be asked to post first to established members" ? Post online or postal service?
Postal service. @66rounds has a good point, that you can do face to face transaction (in person transaction with local members) to gain feedback from other members, if you are not comfortable sending your items first.
Half this forum is probably East coast Australia. People can be a bit unwilling to pay new members upfront because of how easy it would be to never post it and ghost the forum. The buyer paying the agreed upon price after they receive the item in the post is usually what happens for people's first sale post
