What do people think of these? Just over $60 each with Perth Mint having stock. Seems a great price seeing many bars from dealers are in the mid $30s
Blah ,doesn't work for me. I do like the idea BUT The fact they are loose in tube is a total turn of for me
I wonder how come they have stock again when 2 weeks ago stock was down to the last 200 and I was told all sold out... and yeah I like them...
Obviously popular.. out of stock again. Sold out at bullionnow within 20 minutes or so last week as well.. My theory is.. it's about the best value for all these new pandemic stackers. I'm not a fan of it really.. but I bought one.. Just so it's in the collection.
I think they’re a lot more popular than usual just because getting silver for a reasonable premium right now is tough, and these coins are priced fairly cheaply when you think about it. The first couple of coins in this series certainly didn’t have the traction that this one is getting! Nothing beats the usual, 1oz capsulated kooks though. Absolutely gorgeous pieces. I love collecting them, and don’t mind paying the premium for them.
The 10oz very limited mintage however if you check-out the historic mintage on 2oz kook last seen in 2009, I don't think 75,000 is that small a mintage, I but even the lunar 2oz coins don't sell large volumes.
The "Mother And Baby" series of coins, like other theme coins, can take awhile to kick-off / obtain collector appeal, some never do. The 2018 Mother And Baby 2oz Koala coin has a declared mintage of 42,548, the 2019 mintage figures should be released in a few weeks, probably about mid June 2020. Although some folk prefer a capsule, they can be purchased in a plastic wallet. I think we are quite lucky, to be getting a double thickness, piedfort coin, that's affordable in today's market. What we are getting is a collectable, limited edition coin that is part of a series. The coins can be purchased individually in a plastic wallet, or they come un-encapsulated in tubes of 10 x 2oz coins. Perhaps the whole idea of having un-capsuled 2oz coins is to see the market response. I think it's a great idea to have un-capsuled coins; often we are too scared to handle our coins, but a nice chunky 2oz coin held in the hand would make a fantastic inexpensive gift. And, for anyone who's seen one up close, the details pretty good for a cheap 2oz Piedfort bullion coin. https://www.silverstackers.com/foru...z-coin-vs-10-oz-bar-cheap.95919/#post-1146523
Didnt we remember that we had a saga before where we bought those naked pm silver coins in a tube and ended up scratches on surface due to transit? Agreed ..pity that this is not encapsulated...
