I'm looking for suggestions about a good platform to trade with. I'm a beginner and looking for something that offers education as well. I decided to sign up for ig.com, but they told me ''I don't meet their criteria". So, I'm looking for personal references from people actually trading. At the moment I'm using a demo account. But I wanna have my live account set up so that, if I feel confident, I can trade with real money. Currently staying in Australia Thank you
would suggest commsec app is good for most people, or if a real beginner playing with smaller amounts and just want to get into the stock market then Raiz would likely be a good place to start, and start with pocket change. Other platforms like Ig.com is plus500 I used a few years back, Its ok but not great But like ig, you need to know what your doing and have abit more money. you will get a questionnaire to see if they think you know enough about trading, But I dont think they reject you if you fail, they just say you likely shouldn't be trading. they do futures, day trading, you need to know what your doing or you will lose your arse on a platform like that. Commsec likely be best option. Raiz if you just want to invest small amounts and are a beginner
I use the Westpac Online Invest app, most major banks have investment accounts and are extremely easy to use.
Money is really easy to make disappear in the market so whatever you do, don’t start following tips from the internet or uncle Joe. Start reading. Listen to podcasts - there are some excellent ones for starting out investors. CommSec has the largest user base in Australia for good reason. It works and is easy to use.
Thanks to Jason1 and Silverbandit as well. You're perfectly right and I agree with you. I'm getting knowledge ''entering the market world'' through gold and silver. After listening to podcasts, experts and investors for long time I decided to invest in Silver and the idea is trading on silver/gold where a know something. Of course I don't trade with real money If I don't feel comfortable. Thanks for your honesty and your opening eyes
