    Hi all,

I have 1 of 250 Perth mint 50oz silver bars produced during the late 1980’s.

Im looking to sell but am unsure of its realistic worth as a limited/rare bar.

Here is the most detailed information about the bar I’ve managed to find online.

    https://allengelhard.com/the-collections/lesser-refiners/perth-mint/

The bar was purchased from a reputable bullion dealer in Auckland - NZ.

Any and all opinions welcome :)

Probably best to ask this in the silver forum. Unless your selling it, of course. This is the the buy/sell/trade forum

    Hi there,

I am looking to sell. I’ve also posted on a price check thread to get opinions on what value over spot this may have. Cheers

Might be best to remove the “price check” part in your title and put “offers” or something similar in their then to avoid confusion

Just put asking price for your bar and this becomes FS thread... there'll be plenty of interests, if price is right.... not like 'wish' price asking for

Another issue is you're newbie status, not many of us (old folks) wanted to touch it unless you're prepared to send first then payment upon delivery of goods...

I did think being a newbie may be an issue if I were to sell through this platform. I’m located in New Zealand - Auckland to be exact. I’m more than happy to advertise it on our auction site ( Trademe ) for any interested individual.

Initially I was after an idea of how to price this as I figured a forum with people that have been stacking for awhile may be able to shed some light.

    Thanks for your help :)

On such a large bar ,I don't see any premium on it

atm with such short supply, adds a premium even to bigger bars, and its really only 20 oz more than a kg, and kg atm are getting a premium.
It would also depend where you're selling it. On EBay atm silver's nuts! kg bars going for 1100.
Being that this is only 250 made, that's low for a Perth mint bar..
It would have to get a premium..
In this market with premiums on everything so high what kind of premium... who knows.

    Thanks shinymetal.

I agree currently the biggest factor/s behind the premiums would be supply and demand.

I Think these are ones to hold for the future :)

    Cheers
