    Just an update on this:

Called ABC this morning and they said they don't have my order!?! ABC Confirmed Thursday last week that my order was ready for collection on Tuesday the 14th. Nope! Nada, zero, zilch!
They advised "It will probably be here sometime this week" - A far cry from "Your order is ready to collect".

I also had a concerning conversation with a rep from ABC last week, who said: "because you've chosen the pick-up option, we cannot guarantee your order will available by the time you get to our office."
    !!!
I had to clear that up straight away, asking: "Are you saying that when my order becomes available you will sell it to the first person to walk in the door?"

The Rep then confirmed my order will HELD for me to collect once it becomes available.... obviously not.

There's lots of smaller refineries that produce good quality generic bars throughout Australia.
It's time to start spreading your money around to these other refineries and buy their "generic bars" instead of mindlessly buying Perth Mint or ABC
You should be able to source it a little bit cheaper and obtain the physical a lot quicker!
Ten years ago, most stackers here regarded ABC and Ainslie as generic bars.
    I still do!
If you had bought some of their disgusting shi#ty kilo bars during that era, you would know what I mean.

My recommendation is simple; support the smaller businesses that has been around for a few years as they will keep the bastards honest! Dump any that provide a less than satisfactory service.
I have had the same experience as STKR with ABC, only it happened about 12 years ago. They provided me with lousy unreliable service; one delay after another that stretched into months. No apologies for the inconvenience and worries; just a surly attitude like they had done me a favor.

Since your order is so big, have you considered going down to the dealer's office just to take a look?

I've done far more buying than selling of my 100 oz bars, but when I have sold no one has paid me a premium for the name on the bar, such as Johnson Matthey, Engelhard, etc. or appearance. Silver is silver.

Talking about fakes, I'm wondering if PMV can 100% verify 100 oz bars?

I'm referring to the Sigma Metalytics Precious Metal Verifier. The standard version.

Ah, I've seen those. I didn't know they were called PMV. I've been confused by what method they're using – is it XRF?

No, they are not XRF. I doubt an XRF can verify a 100 oz bar without cutting it.

What a Headf@#k of a day! I was finally able to pick up my order from ABC. It took just under 4 weeks, however, I was one of the early birds who ordered shortly after the "pre-order" signs were in place.

This was not a smooth process. The squeaky wheel gets the oil and I had to make some noise before they put these kilo bars aside for me.

OH, the line was about 12 people long. Only one person allowed in the store at a time and averaged 15 mins per person. If you're planning on going down - get in early or bring a milk crate/ foldable camp chair.
