Mate, if you're not comfortable to del with such person, just move on to the next potential buyer(s)... at the end of the day, it is your coins...
Someone new to this community has a right to be cautious. It is completely reasonable and understandable - How can one be confident without previous experience? Equally the members buying on this forum have a right to be cautious of members selling, especially if they are new and have no trading history. A bit of understanding goes a long way. @Daniel Squibb Don't be disheartened by what has happened here. @Scott Layton Clearly had good intentions but took things too far with his pursuit to validate your authenticity. I would be on the back foot too if someone asked me for all of those personal details. One thing is for certain though, you will not have any dramas from long standing members with good trade history. I wouldn't think twice about posting first to one of those members - There's a reason why they have years of positive feedback.
I live on the Sunshine Coast. I am happy to arrange a meet to inspect if anyone is interested. I understand at first @Daniel Squibb it can be hard for people to trust. I have done hundreds of trades happy to assist any genuine buyer and seller to ensure every genuine buyer and seller is welcomed to silver stackers.
You also said you did 5k worth a week or so ago.....and yet your trade history still stands at zero....just saying
I am glad someone has said it as i have been sitting here biting my tongue, but it might be that no established members are leaving feedback as they done want to be identified for selling their stash at spot or spot minus x% just my 2 cents worth
To be fair Scott has purchased a four figure $um of silver rounds from me recently. He made a reasonable offer (halfway between retail & spot), paid the $'s instantly & will receive positive feedback from me once the silver has arrived & he's submitted feedback.
Are you for serious? IMO you are probably breaking a number of laws in Australia by requesting and searching for information ("I have contacts don't ask"). IMO illegal as hell. Those that provided you the information are also guilty as well. Bad form, bad manners and in generall bad overall. Yeah, I know there are lots of nasties out there having sold on Ebay for well over 15 years, but taking this route smacks of illegality.
It would also be helpful if new members stopped big-noting themselves because they start to sound like dicks. Best way to be struck off as potential new buyers/sellers. Trust me a lot of us keep notes AND NO this was not meant to be for anyone in particular just a general comment because I've seen a bit of this of late.
