Hey people. I've been a member for a while, with a few buys a couple of years ago. But I need to fix my car and I'm looking to sell for the first time. I'd prefer f2f transaction. Does this mean it's going to be impossible? I'm in Melbourne
Any other advice is well welcome too
    Thanks

Nothing is impossible on Silver Stackers. There are plenty members from Melbourne who are willing do F2F. Just show us what you've got for sale...

I agree. However, being open to postage options for members outside Melbourne will also increase your chances of a sale. A lot of people seem to forget that there’s a market outside Victoria

For your peace of mind though (and this is etiquette here) your best bet (if you do post) is to sell to established members who have a good trader history. Since you’re a new seller, you’ll usually be required to post first, then you’ll receive payment once it arrives in good order. This is just a show of good faith until your seller reputation is built.

Oh and as Madaw mentioned, photos will greatly increase your chances of a sale too.

I reckon that in the last 3 years and hundreds of trades that I have done 99% were by post. I don't live in any of the big cities so f2f is rarely an option. Postage options increases your chances of selling, quite a lot of people live in bush and postage is the same to anywhere in OZ. And yep, photos, the clearer the better, good luck with your sale!

I am in Melbourne and every second trade of mine is face to face. It is much easier than stressing over postage. Let me know what you have and we can work out a deal.

Thank you all for your time. I might just take a couple of photos then. A post to go up in the trading sometime soon.

Do not be afraid to sell to @Bullion Now just because they have a machine that will prove the authenticity of the metal. _JLG.

Thanks for the help all. I finally made a thread, hopefully it came out ok. I may decide to sell some bigger bars soon, I hope it's just not looked down upon to have 2 threads going at a time.

Better than most here who list one item per thread and bump it sixteen times a day

Haha oh dear that doesn't sound good. I'm sure a bump every few days is ok, then I guess a price drop or let it stand or just delete probably?

That’s how I do it. If you get no bites after a week or two, and you’ve already gone as low a price as you’re willing to sell, then your best bet is to go to Bullion Now and sell it for spot price.

Oh and by FAR the most irritating thing (from a buyers perspective) is to put up a sale and not state your prices on the thread, and telling people to PM you for the price instead. Any thread that has that sort of nonsense, I just ignore completely.

I understand spot fluctuates, but have a firm price if it’s not moving much and only adjust accordingly if there’s a major movement (40 cents+) in either direction.

Good, I suspected so. I have removed one price after receiving an offer and noted pending.

Bump is just when your thread ends up in page 20 of the forum and you want to bring it forwards so it gets seen by potential buyers because you haven't sold yet.
