Seeing as there's some bragging about bargains at the moment... I thought I'd start a thread where people can share their bargain buy (pikey deal) of the week. Lets see what the best scores have been, I'll start you off with mine: I scored 20 fiftys from an antique dealer yesterday for a tenner each... Apparently the guy is 'clued up on the industry'... Couldn't help but giggle. I've told him I might buy at $11 if prices continue to rise... but I'll want a discount if he's got 50+ Can anyone raise me?
I bought a 94 Masterpieces in silver on ebay for spot. It arrived today, and there was a letter + $50 note enclosed, apologising for the damaged case (the listing did not have a damaged case). I accepted his apology and thanked him for his kind act. Not many genuine ebay sellers like this bloke any more.
I got 3 $10 state coins on ebay today for $64.50 including postage. I guess I shouldn't comment until they are in my hands though. Hate buying from ebay.
