    Hi Stackers,
I am after some opinions on metal testers.
I have tried attaching a photo of one on eBay. Is this one ok, or should i stay clear of it. Looking for any advice on the subject and apologies if I was supposed to post this elsewhere. Cheers

This one works fine, there is also an advance version with more features, hence higher the price.

    Thanks Maverick,
Price for this one is just over $1100 on eBay.
I am just wanting peace of mind that what I am buying is the real deal. Cheers

I have one and it works fine you must set it to the correct type of gold or silver Eg 1966 in same as Canadian 80% but the $200 gold is not 22k Gold it works with British Britannia, its semi limited in that respect. But as long as you know it would definitely pickup fake bars and coins I do also weigh and magnet test as well. Hows your QB?

I would get the option with the bullion wand and not just the small and large wand for the few extra dollars.
I have this PMV and the three wands and have no problem with it, it's a great piece of insurance and piece of mind.

While you are in the process of getting a tester my advise is try always buy from reputable members that have good feedback. Also when you receive your item walk into your local bullion shop and ask them to test item for you with their XRF tester (For free)

They are definitely worth it, good to have when doing F2F deals, just gives you that extra insurance that you are getting what you paid for. I was lucky enough to get one off a member here for a good price.

Cheers for that, you are 100% right. Knowing I have paid for the real stuff makes this a good investment. Thanks
