Note the difference on the label between "Medal" and "Official Mint Medal."

"Medals" are struck at private mints. "Official Mint Medals," are products of government-owned mints and carry the authority of the government for weight and purity.

There is outstanding medallic art being made at both government and non-government mints in China. It is just about knowing the lay of the land to help determine values.

8 gram New Year Celebration Commemorative Coin, 3Y legal tender issued by PBC minted by Shenzhen Guobao Mint.
As long as it is not so highly premium, nice to get them. I prefer them graded than in classy boxes.

Only the 2015, the first year of the New Year series, is expensive. It has the lowest mintage and runs $140-$150 USD. The later years are all in the $20-$40 range. Like lunar year coins, these are popular gifts around the Spring Festival.

Yes, the cheapest you can buy on the market locally is 1050 RMB at present for the 2015 carded 70s. It was sold mostly up to 1400 RMB range. This was so expensive. The set for 2015 to 2019 carded 70s is 2150 RMB up to 2400 RMB. Looking forward to get the 2015 at nice price.
