What sort of price do we end up achieving when we do this? I am interested but have no experience with this.
Generally speaking, it’s a lot lower than if you were to buy from Perth Mint directly. Exact same product as they sell, just with much less of a premium than Perth Mint would charge. Also, usually speaking, 1oz coins are cheaper to buy when bought in bulk rather than individually.
You should be able to get a good idea of what you can expect to save by doing a few comparisons I've just quickly looked at Perth Mint and a couple of Aussie Bullion Dealers, and if we assume 600+ coins is ordered (for the group buy to get the best rate) then you'll be saving approx $3.30ish per coin (based on prices as of right now) depending on how much you buy Say you wanted to buy a roll of 20 - well you'd probably only save less than $1 per coin if you made that purchase from the mint or a dealer, but by doing it through the group buy and purchasing from the allocated 600+ ordered you'd be saving $3.30ish per coin or $65ish per roll If 600+ coins can be purchased then the savings are certainly there, even after postage costs are added in I think that's right?
Hello All, Does anyone know when these will be released. Also how does the price work re spot. Is it spot at the time of order or time of collection? Thanks in advance JS1880
According to the Perth Mint video released recently, it’ll be early October. Exactly what day I can’t remember, and it might change. Allow time for it to be delivered to bullion suppliers from the mint as well. I’m sure the good folk at Bullion Now will let us know once they get a better idea from the mint. Kooks will always be more than spot price, and the price you pay will be locked in at the time of your order, not the time of delivery/collection.
Yep - release date is 1st October according to Perth Mint blog. http://www.perthmintbullion.com/au/...trength_with_new_designs_and_special_releases
